市場研究機構TrendForce旗下綠能事業處LEDinside最新報告「 2018 商業照明、智慧照明與平板燈市場報告」表示，近幾年以來，由於LED燈具的節能效益以及性價比逐漸獲得了消費者認同，全球LED商業照明市場規模持續擴大，2018年全球LED室內商業照明市場爲 158.7 億美金，佔全球LED照明總産值的42%，預估全球LED商業照明 2018~2021 的年複合增長率爲3%，相比較前幾年，增速放緩，主要原因來自LED照明産品終端價格的下滑以及市場需換裝的存量下降。

根據 LEDinside 分析調查全球主要25家商業照明廠商營收排名，前十大商業照明廠商包含Philips Lighting、Acuity Brands、Panasonic、LEDVANCE、Eaton Lighting、Toshiba、NVC 雷士照明、Fagerhult、陽光照明、Hubbell。

2018年商業智慧照明佔全球智慧照明市場規模的33.5%，達到25.3億美元，因為數位化的特徵可以帶來更多新的商業模式和價值增長點，所以商業照明目前是智慧照明最大的應用場所。未來幾年預計市場會將持續成長，至2020年全球智能照明規模可達134億美元。

平板燈產品市場趨勢: 歐美平板燈多見尺寸600*600mm，多配有調光功能，以暖白光爲主、壽命普遍達40,000小時以上。日本平板燈産品光品質高，朝著智慧型照明實現遠程控制趨勢發展，並注重結合當地文化設計出更符合市場需求産品，以至産品尺寸比較靈活，以 Panasonic 最爲顯著。
